History

In 2008, GRD Minproc celebrates its 30th year of operation. Today GRD Minproc has a reputation for being a leading engineering construction business, providing high value services to clients across the globe.

Established in 1978, GRD Minproc expanded rapidly on the back of high quality engineering services provided to the Australian mining and resources industry.

Over the years that followed, GRD Minproc delivered more Australian gold projects than any other company, and diversified into a range of mineral commodities to deliver outstanding projects throughout the world. In this time, we worked in locations as diverse as Ghana, Mauritania, Bolivia, Oman, Indonesia and China.

In April 2000, GRD Minproc was acquired as a wholly owned subsidiary of its major shareholder - GRD Limited, known for its clever application of technology, engineering and management solutions for resources projects.

Merging with GRD Limited provided GRD Minproc with the backing of a strong balance sheet, ensuring GRD Minproc has the resources it needs to successfully execute large-scale development projects around the world.

In 2005, the corporate administration functions of GRD and GRD Minproc integrated to provide greater efficiency and a clearer platform for project delivery.
GRD Minproc continues to demonstrate its technical innovation, with our engineers applying their expertise in minerals extraction to household waste in designing the UR-3R (Urban Resource - Recycling, Reduction, Recovery) Process®. The company successfully implemented this technology at Global Renewables' Eastern Creek Facility in Sydney and has since been contracted to design and construct the Lancashire Waste Partnership PFI Project in the United Kingdom.

With a pipeline of projects in both the mineral resource and waste-to-resources sectors, GRD Minproc has never been better placed for growth and success.
