GRD Minproc - what do we do?
As an engineering construction company, we take our clients from evaluating their resource, through to building and maintaining the plant that extracts the valuable materials. And we don't just do any old project; we do the 'interesting and challenging' ones.
We take the 'interesting and challenging' projects because our engineers are great engineers. They are innovative, they like to solve problems and they like to explore. So we need to provide them with variety; options in technologies, options in commodities, options in project size and options in project locations. Here are just a few of the options we offer.
Nickel – a core world commodity
GRD Minproc is leading the world in nickel extraction technologies. We are also currently working on the biggest and most technologically complex nickel projects in the world. You could say that we are in our element when it comes to nickel!
Uranium – Australia’s controversial resource
Uranium and its use is a hot topic in Australia at the moment, but its the technically complex extraction process that we are interested in. As a commodity with increasing relevance, our experienced team is refining process to help make an explorer's dream become reality, with an established team and current experience in uranium project development.
Copper - a commodity with a big future
As just one of the commodities that has seen a huge increase in demand, copper is another one of our specialities. We have worked on a number of copper projects throughout the world and at the Cadia Hill Project, installed the largest semi autogenous grinding (SAG) mill and two of the largest ball mills in the world.
Gold – where it all began
Since our inception, gold has been our staple. We are proud to have 'cut our teeth' on this precious commodity and have delivered more gold plants in Australia than any other company over the last 30 years or so.
Waste – it's one of our fastest growing resources
As well as minerals, we can offer you a career in the waste-to-resources sector. GRD Minproc, along with its sister company Global Renewables, has developed the world-first UR-3R Process®. UR-3R or 'urban resource - reduction, recovery, recycling' is a proven technology that diverts household waste from landfill, produced recyclable products such as energy and water, and also significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions. We call it 'mining the urban ore body'. Already in operation at our Eastern Creek Facility in Sydney, we have also just landed a $5 billion contract to build similar facilities in the United Kingdom.
So what would you like to do?
Does working in Africa on a copper project make you curious, perhaps a nickel project in Brazil appeals to you, or maybe an urban waste management project in Manchester is more your style? Or perhaps you can't make up your mind and would like to have a go at them all?
